just got followed for 20 mins all the way to midass styling. then they told me i could get a fine, but let me off. just because i had a TDI badge on the back of my car insted of a TD badge!! its a F**KING BADGE! what a waste of time.

If u think tho, wen they check out ya car an it comes up as 1 thing but says another on ya car, plus ur young, it does look a little dodgy!

U wud b more than happy if ur car had been nicked, rebadged and was pulled up tho!

laugh all you want BUT i know a fella who had his car stolen, his son had but aturbo sticker on the boot lid, and the insurance wouldnt pay out as they said it made the car more desirable to pinch and he had not declaired it on his documents

i doubt he was with a very reputible insurance company then, and besides if his car was pinched how did they find out it had a sticker on it?

my insurance company covers all exterior modifications anyway so im not taking it off. thing is the pc lives round the corner from me so i might put loads of tdi badges on my car and park it outside her house!

they said that if you badge the car up as something else you have to tell the dvla and your insurance company, otherwise it invalidates it i think. i still dont know why they did it??
