Pick up a nice example for 25-30k. Much prefer one of those to an M3.

nah perosnally like M3 way more - if u finkin of spending tht cash, i'd be after a Supra or RX7, summat with some grunt and handling and looks

I have never read a bad review about one, especially the 'S'. Everyone seems to rate them really highly. Problem is that the residuals are rock solid so you end up paying top whack for a second hand one.

Driven an M3. Terrific cars. Never driven a Boxster. Problem is that M3s are driven almost exclusively by twats. I never subscribed to the 'BMW drivers are twats' theory until the E46 M3. See loads of them aswell.

Theres not many cars out there that push 450bhp through the rear wheels, and those that do are serious money.

Any tuned up Jap cars just do nothing for me. They always go bang eventually, they're always too loud, and they always look like the very epitome of bad taste.

get a tvr they are all verrry fast! u could probably get a tuscan for that price and they have speed, sound and looks

boxsters are nice a mate of mine has had his for a couple of months but as standard they come with shit all, he spent an extra £7500ish on extras alone! would much prefer an M3.

I love TVRs and have been fortunate enough to have a go in pretty much all of them. Unreal but definately not the sort of car you want to be driving every day.

Yea, this is the thing. Deffo more M3s around than Boxsters though. Plus, I think there is something more special about a 2 seater Porsche over the M3.

I would deffo go for the boxster S...mate has one...tiptronic gearbox....factory fitted aero kit...and racing exhaust...very nice cars...get one...M3's are ten a penny but a nice porsche...NO REPLACEMENT!

Not really seen later models for 25 and under in autotrader...have a look u will be suprised..the insurance isnt as bad too...hes only 24 with 3 years NCD and only pays 700 odd FC....

Thats a damn good insurance quote!

I'll be 22, 2yr NCB. Prob be £1500 on a Boxster.

Not too keen on a later model, if something goes wrong, its big money to get it fixed by Porsche.

Would rather a newer regular Boxster still under warrenty. Need to look into it more first anyway, I suspect running costs will price me out of the game. Don't want to find it costs a mint just to keep it on the road!

IMO if I had money for a porsche + insurance/servicing etc it would have to be an older 911
