soon as i got the car back from ascar the car was taken apart! the list of things we have done with help from me dad is :-

*got all brakes working :- had 2 left calipers on the front so it was not bleeding properly
*got the handbreak ajusted so its works good now
*got all lights working - fuse was stoping hazords working, put seperate earths in for rear lights, wired in the lights in mirrors
*re wired the reversing light cos the current wiring was not working
*re wired the horn cos that wiring was also not working, just gotta mount the horn now
*new wiper motor and made it so the washer is on the wiper now
*got peice for under the scuttle pannel and painted under it also
*fitted fan on radiator just need wiring in some how!
*cant remember the rest

Then me number plates come today, normal front one, and TVR backlit rear, i have used 2 old rear side lights off a 206 and mounted them inside on the roof at the back, just finished making surround to hide the bulbs and wiring for inside and then the plate is on the rear screen outside so i didnt have to desturb any bodywork on the rear, also the number plate con be taken off easyly if i want! happy with how well it lights up in dark, should have put velcrow higher and lower on the plate tho cos then wud c more light!

MOT on friday, should be fun

You say you mounted some lights to illuminate the rear plate, but i thought the TVR ones were lit from behind and thats what made them so good? Im only asking cos i was thinkin about getting some too, but need to know what they actually are!

TVR plates are translucent and need to have holes drilled through the bumper so you can illuminate the plate using a special lamp from behind. Not that special. What would be special if there was a chemical that was clear like and bendy like polycarbonate, but when you pass a current through it it lights up. That would make a cool plate...

all the plate is is like a normal plate but its like honeycobmed effect and all the lines are clearer so it makes it so that when u put light behind u can c through it easy, my lights are behind the number plate thats the difference between normal plate and tvr style ones! cheers jaco

I doubt it. You don't really see people walking down the street and then randomly start laughing at cars.
