Recently bought the car of my dreams (type-R). My Bro-in-law is convinced he can beat me in his 16v turbo coupe. There is only one outcome Castle combe race track. None of the cars have been modified. But what do you guys think. He says he can do 160+, 0-60 in 6sec. Is this true, well the race is set for September....so we'll see.

I also heard the ITR is best FWD car ever, plus you've got the VTec which doesnt lag like a turbo.
Be interesting.

V-tec doesnt lag like a turbo
V-Tec will come in around the 4-5,000 rpm mark, most turbos boost alot earlier than this!

160mph sounds a little over optimistic

20VT are capable of 0-60 in 6 secs and 158mph
The 16VT does 0-60 in 6.8 and down 25bhp on the 20VT

CorsaSport super Stats suggest the Teg is capable of 15.1 and the coupe 15.3 on the standing quater mile...
but they arent the most accurate stats in the world!

i personally think it will be very close, if you drive the Teg to its max around the track though I reckon you will have him!

I know it will be very very close; Type-r is lighter by approx 150kg, i weigh lighter than the bro-in-law and on the books its close. Ones Turbo, ones v-tec its gonna be a good race and i am aware the integra is the best FWD ever made...

it says in parkers for the fiat in driving "one of the best front-wheel drive chassis ever designed; controls are precise, handling is pin sharp at all times; add in good grip and a slick gear change and the result is magic". 5 stars
for the integra type r it says "quite a handful round town; comes into its own on the open road; steering is light and direct; firm suspension gives superb presicion when cornering. 4 stars

The fiat coupe can be an animal, plus dont forget youve got a 2.0 engine with the added bonus of a turbo.

he is a fool. the 20VT will do 150mph 0-60 in 6.5s and 100 in 14.5s which is quicker than the ITR however the 16VT is slwoer than the 20VT and I don;t think it will bw quicker than the ITR
