at a guess stu, steel rods, oversized forged pistons 86/87mm ones with massive valve pockets, arp rod bolts, lightened flywheel, lightened and balanced crank, head ported and polished, silly profile cams, 4-2-1 manifold, straight through exhaust, throttle bodies (obviously) and custom managment...

was just short of 2100cc
Used SBD 88mm 'slipper' lighweight pistons (pocketed/forged etc)
Steel rod to suit pistons (i pressume, as you need em)
Unsure of head spec but i think the cams were 300, or higher....so solid lifters would have been used, uprated springs etc etc

I dunno.... best to just email dave himself, but i doubt he fully knows either.... It was built when he bought it

300 degree cams ?

Jesus.

Anyone know the best spec for fast road with reasonable road manners on a red top, i'm in a no rush rebuild on mine, all I notice is the cams in it are pretty worn but the bores aren't

The person who built the car would never tell you what all went into it. the engine would have to be taken apart to find all this out i will however tell you that it was not an easy car to drive, cams were VERY lumpy
