Why do people moan about rust, get the welder out and repair it.
If its done properly it should never return providing the car is well maintained.

My favourite motor in my Nova days was that 2.5 V6 nova with 18's and golf headlights. the green one. I loved the wheels, does anyone know what wheels they were?

Put it this way the 1.6 8v C16SE engine took two of us to lift it with out breaking to much of a sweat the 2.5 V6 that i helped put in an Astra - forget it that thing was so heavy.
Think of the wiring you have to do and your carrying another two cylinders on top of that - look at what you have to do to a Nova to get an XE in i mean the proper way of course.
The 2.5 V6 was nice cant remember the rims but there was rumors it had been taken off the road to be supercharged but i havent heard nothing about it since.

No, to increase the capacity of an engine, you either modify the bores, or you use a different crankshaft with a different stroke. So putting on a 3.0 bottom end would give the car 3.0 of cubic capacity (slightly less actually 2995cc?).
