OMG, u ok though? anyone hurt?
There have been quite a few times this has nearly happened to me, you get some peenarse who is just itching to get past you so they go flying out regardless of wether you have started your overtaking maneouvre or not.
Mostly suits in various TDi VW/Audis that seem to do this to me. Just let them go usually as its hairy as fcuk.

yeah but to be fair how may of us do that everytime we over take? I do it all the time when on a dual carriage way/motorway. but on a normal A/B road usually just check mirrors.

yes you can always see where someone is there, even without actively watching your rear view mirror u r usually aware that they are there. did he come flying up behind though? then go for the overtake? if so you didnt really have much of a chance of seeing him.

usually a combination of me fighting torque steer, trying to stop the car from bouncing of the road, and going too quick to risk looking over my shoulder

ever since i've been on a motorbike (well scooter :lol it has opened my eves when driving i now always check my blind spot ! regardless of what type of road i'm on.
Sorry that you had to learn the hardway, but think you are not injured and nor is anybody else, hats off to vauxhall for building you a safe car, think how much worse it could have been if you was in a metro so alike car

yeah he must have realy been flying i didnt even see him untill there was a horrible crunch and i was being thrown allover the road. so nearly lost controll.
the funny thing is the granny didnt even notice and just carryed on driving even though we were along side her!!!

That is truely very shit!
just be glad its just the car. Cars can be replaced, body parts are more difficult, and expensive to replace.

PMFSL @ the granny
I usually overtake them as quickly as possible because they scare me.
