Firstly i notice that there are a few rust bits on the bonnet and then on the front bumper too. Anyway, i look closer to find it's tiny bits of metal that were stuck on the car. I get all that off with polish and wax but the same has happened around the rear number plate, so i take it off to notice they have just laid the plate against the car and drilled then screwed it on. Therefore the metal bits have rusted under the rear plate. I've now got all that off -- well the bits you can see but what is next.

There's no rust on the bumper - thats plastic.

If you mean there are metal clips that the reg plate is screwed in to then yes, this is perfectly normal.

Ian, there was small bits of metal bits on the bumper. At first i thought it had not been sprayed prop but then i rubbed it with a dry cloth and all the metal bits where coming off. I have no idea how they got on there

As for the rear plate, they never wiped the metal bits off when they drilled the holes in for the plate to be put on. They just put the plate on top

They have drilled two small holes and then put larger screws in for the rear plate.
