i got told if your taking a exit after 12 o'clock thn use the right hand lane, and if u take an exit before 12 o'clock use the left one

Green! then move to the blue position before exiting...
So many cars have nearly written me off because they're turning right but are in the left lane... I'm in the right hand lane as I want to go straight ahead into the 2nd lane of a dual carriageway...
I go straight - they pull across!!!

Left hand lane for straight on and left, right hand line for turning right (past 12o'clock)

Nevermind what your driving instructor used as an easy way to get you through a test, 12 o'clock this and that, you won't win a disputed accident claim going on about 12 o'clock.

ps. If green and blue both go for the same exit and they collide it is greens fault for entering blues path.
No opinion about it, or what looks safer, that is the bloody rules.
