Hey up,
Just done my 2.0 conversion in my corsa, just wondering what cars they match upto in terms of performance. Ive only had a spat with an 5 Turbo so far and i was catchin him, and im pretty sure it would whup a VTS, but it doesnt feel as quick as the valver nova i had cus of the weight. what do people run on the 1/4 mile? or what cars have you beaten in your valver?

1/4's seem to vary between 14.5 and 15.5 depending on driver and how much weight they've stripped...
Never had a problem with the general hot-hatches like the 106 GTIs or Saxos... Kept with Civic Type-R's and Audi TT Quattros...

Mine is good with Clio 182's, Focus ST170.. blah shat on that.
182 was a close race, could have passed him if the road was long enough.
Civic Type- R good race too... pretty close.

Good thing about a 2.0 corsa is that people in fast cars done even think they are gonna have to try and race you! By the time they realise its not a 1.2 they struggle to catch you! I did loads of cars that way that a Corsa shouldnt have beat!
Just got to remember that your still in a Corsa tho when you get to the bends!!!!!

Good point i have found this out even lowerd 40mm on 16's!!!!!!!!!

Came unstuck a couple of times in mine! You'll be blatting down a bypass hanging off the tailgate of a Scooby, he'll put it into a bend and you'll try and match him forgetting that your still in a Corsa! 
Still good fun tho!!!!

I was just as quick if not faster on striaghts, but when we hit the bends my heart suddenly advanced to humming bird

Hehe, I hate them heart in mouth moments!!! Ive had loads!!!! Had a couple in the Impreza......remember not long back racing an RX7, he was behind me, I went too fast into the roundabout, panicked and backed off, the back end came round and I was facing him (he was behind) I shat myself! Anyway when I opened my eyes I was facing forward again and on I went!!!!!!! Hehe! Guy with the Rex pulled over and asked me how I had just done that awesome manouver. I told him some cock and bull story about backing off the throttle, steering in then powering back on when in actual fact I was going too fast, shat myself and the cars diffs took over!
