I have a 1.5TD corsa, I once got 450miles outa a tank.. though now since i have a heavier foot and know my cars limits I only get bout 300 miles out of it... I often think if I had a bigger engine I wouldnt need to drive so hard and thus would get more miles per tank.. I know out 130bhp VW is no where near as sore on diesel..

Peugeot 306 1.9TD - About 40mpg including a lot of short journeys and the occasional heavy right foot. After a long run could be 55mpg. Normally 600 miles per tank maybe a bit lower as I never take it all the way down.
Heard about one lad who apparently never went over 70 or thrashed his and got 800 miles to a tank

Broster - it'll be CTS, what management you running again? I had same bad fuel and smell on the redtop and a £12 CTS solved it, paid for itself in 2 weeks driving LOL.

I don't think you do have a problem. I thought the same when i first got my car, coz it seem to run out of petrol fast. Have you got an induction kit or anything? I shouldn't worry too much about it

Mine gets planted more often than it should when it's warmed up. My engine needs the injectors cleaning and stuff too, it's underperforming and using too much diesel. Still manages 35mpgish, mind.
The Laguna and Megane both manage 50+.
