Right, finally getting my tattoo done, been planning on having one for ages but never got round to it, and am coming up with a design.

So far im thinking 4 symbols down from my shoulder down my arm? Did a quick shop below with 4 words; Good fortune, Money, Longevity, Happiness.



Im into my martial arts and oriental stuff so i thought it was good

I need some more ideas though, words/designs/placements etc

I chose the lettering myself

And jakethesnake, what do you have in mind, i did plan on getting this done last year but it just got forgotten about!

Was also considering "Vini Vidi Vici" for my own reasons

have you actually got a chinese guy to transcript that for you?
otherwise the meanings will be fuckall such as in the picture above.

i think its only worth getting a tattoo that means something. so the chinese symbols are cool good fortune sounds a little desperate though

Those 4 words came from a piece of artwork i had from a chinese artist! They were arranged horizontally so i dont know if they still account for same meanings??

I just realised those 4 words are quite common to find on scripture

Edited. i meant to say hes just following a crowd it seems everyone nowadays has a tribal tattoo because it "means something to them" its just getting boring everyone having tribal tattoos. In a few years it will proberly be uncool to have a tattoo. Just my opinion.

to be honest these sort of tattoos are better than tribal, i dont see how tribal can really have meaning they are just 'fashionable' in my opinion

Pacific tribal designs look amazing and have meaning. No to us Europeans though
