coming up to a round about on a 2 dual carrige way, im in right hand lane he is in left hand lane i go onto round about first he was goin far too fast locked up and skidded straight into me as i had slowed to a crawl i couldn't get out the way

he admitted fault, getting quotes tomorrow and hoping i dont have to go through his insurance as i rekon it'll be a write off.

no chance of it being pulled out and filled tho

it was a civic, older style, his dad's loaded

new rear quater me thinks gonna have to be welded in. he is only gonna pay cash if its not too much so dunno what he will be willing to pay

that actually doenst look to bad and i have seen worse thing pulled out ok!
the only bit that concerns me is the bit near the door but that cab be skimed over!!!

You can get a new rear quarter if the panel cannot be pulled out and filled etc. Damage is quite low down so you could have bend something else too.

There's nothing behind there, I had similar damage on mine many years ago, bodyshop will just weld rods on and tug on them, its fairly standard practise.

ive just had a qoute to replace the rear quarter cause sum 1 reversed into mine and it was over £1000

im 80% sure thats a write off, thats the worst panel to get smacked on as its the most hassle, apart from roof of course, hope ya get what ya want though.

no exactly the same happened to steves, almost identical dent, needed the rear quarter replacing, cost the insurance about 1600 to fix

yup been getting quotes of £1k plus all day.

m8 owns a body shop and is gonna pull it out best he can,

its low down but the floor of the car is ok.

he wants to pay cash so it wont be writtin off, just major hassle

ok, one place suggested a set of skirts that go up the side of the car, then knockin out what ever is left that can be seen, will look good then but is it structuraly ok then?? ie will it drive ok?
