was driving down an industrial road abt 1/2 a mile long and as i got abt 1/2 way down it i saw a flash of light. thought to my self here we go so looked at speed n was doing abt 37-38 ish so i turned around. saw a speed camara sign on that side of the road (driving back toward where id came from) and then i saw the camara. looked to see if there was a yellow side of it and there wasnt. i drove to the end of the road and slowly came back up, looking to see a sign telling me about speed camara's and there wasnt 1 on this side of the road.
what is the actual law of speed camaras?
ive been told that there has to be a sign telling you of the camara, there has to be a bright yellow side on the camara.
and also how do i go about apealing against the points/fine if i can get out of it.
any help would be great. Thanks

quote: The traffic light camera was originally used to measure red light offences. Nowadays the camera can also be used in combination with speed measurement, similar to that of a Gatso speed camera. So you could end with a speeding offence as well as a traffic light offence, if you go through a red light camera!
think that still means that if u go thru a red light over 30 u get speeding and red light ticket

No its not its a new digital one, needs no film and generates fines automatically.
Forces vary with regards to positioning/visability of cameras.

all cameras have to be have signs to let u no they are there or it wont hold up in court the only way u can get done without is if a police officer pulled u over for it
they tend to put sings up a few months before cameras to let u no that there gonna be there
even if its a van parked on the side of the road it has to be signed as speed cameras on that road
its the same with trafic light cameras there have to be signed
