Right ive ordered some 16" team dynamic speed 8 wheels for my car. I now need to decide on a suspension kit to lower it with. Ive decided on the G-max kit (i think ) But i need to decide on weather to go 40 or 60mm. Its going on a corsa with standard body work etc. Are there any problems with practicality with 60mm as my area is infested with speed bumps in all directions . Other then that is insurance more on a 60 drop then a 40.

ARGH I cant decide

Help please

sounds like 60mm then

Whats the deal with insurance on 60 compared to 40. They wanted £124 extra to have alloys and 40mm drop will it be more? Il phone elephant in the morning but I just want an idea of what to expect.

anybody got any pics of cars lowerd 60mm and 40mm on 16" so i can get an idea of both

60mm is what I have decided on at the mo if my insurance agrees.

what other suspension kits are there for a 60mm drop around the £200 mark other then the G-max kit? And is the G-max kit any good?

Cheers

60mm is definately the way to go, but you might struggle with speed bumps.

I went down 50mm in my old SRI on standard 14" SRI rims and big fat tyres and it was scraping over speed bumps and up the dropped kerb onto my driveway. Just be careful..

may change my root to work as i go down the seafront in southend to get there and those speed bumps are quite harsh their the ones that are like /----\

is it really that much of a prob as having 16" over 14" wheels would make it higher anyway wouldnt it ? So there would be less chance of it catching

Anybody got any 60mm kits to recomend?

Also my wheels are et45 would i need to debolt my arches to go 60mm?

cheers

I would say 40mm if there is a lot of bumps you need to go over as you may catch if you lower it 60mm
