can easily buy and insure the 1.8 SRi which is the one to have as its cheap on insurance and hardly any slower than the 2.2!

But then theres the SRi Turbo would maybe have to borrow abit of money to get one but just got Insurance quotes of just over £900

Then theres the GSi even more money to buy and insurance is £1200 but i could probably stretch to the money needed!

Which should i go for

Where are you getting those quotes from, how old are you and how NCB?! I tried for insurance on a GSi and it was 2k

If I could get insurance for around 1k like you then I would borrow the money for a GSi

I've just bought a 1.8 Coupe. We shopped around and got the insurance for just slightly cheaper than my previous 1.2 Corsa!!
Corsa was insured with CIS, Astra is now insured with Direct Line.

I'd go for GSi, even if it meant I'd have to borrow a bit of money to afford it. If I didn't I'd sure regret it later on.

if i got a GSI then i would hardly touch it, i would deffo get some decent suspension on it as they are pretty high as standard and maybe change the rims, but not sure!

If i got a SRi Turbo then i would do wheels coilovers and re-trim

A normal SRi i would want the irmscher kit 18s coilovers and retrim!

The GSi is by far the best but im just about to sort all my finances out with sorting my new mortgage and that, so not sure if i wanna get a loan out again!

Why couldn't you live with a Coupe? I think it looks so much better (classier and less like the back-end has been squashed in)...

Mine was £6.5k for Dec 2000 car with 41k miles... Leather/alcantara interior, full factory Irmscher kit, etc, etc...

I'm guessing insurance is all the same. I'm paying £750 FC (was paying £1400 FC / £605 TPFT on the XE Corsa)...

Sam go for the SRi turbo as there are only 500 built, yes it was built with slightly less bhp, but vauxhall will remap it to GSi spec usually for free

ohhhhh that silver coupe turbo on that link aint bad, didnt really find that many when i was on there!

the coupes are very nice i just think something is better about the hatchback but TBH i think i could easily live with both after looking some more!

Ian how much does he want

Coupes are alot cheaper aswell, yes not as new but im not botherd about age aslong as the mileage aint to bad and its got a few goodies!

al depends on how much i end up getting for mine really!

if it has a full service history then mileage isn't such a major factor ... how long you planning on having the car for?
