Ok, mortgage has been sorted but now but im stuck I either;
Live in a studio flat/small flat for 50 - 60k in a fairly good area, and get a new(ish) car... have somthing like this in my living room;
which fold up to look like:
As id have a lounge/bedroom
OR
Get an ex council 3 bed house for 75 and have a tighter budget...
Flat would mean i would have more money, could get a better car and be able to go out etc
House would be much bigger, but in a not so good area, id have less money to play with each month but at the end of the day id have a house
Opinions/ideas please

Trust me, you won't be assed pulling your bed down when you're pissed and it's late
If you have a party or friends round they're sitting in your bedroom for christs sake!
Small, cramped, shitty

although a studio flat would be cool to furnish with funky things like that bed, i think that a house is a better option, i think that u will begin to feel suffocated living in one room day in day out!

House Ally, you know it makes sense in the long run and better prospects - you can always sell up and move on in the next couple of years?

whats got more chance of going up in value?
Smaller in nice area, or sligtly larger in a worse area but could be more 'up and coming'

Yes, but the house i originally liked needs wayyyyyyy to much work (about 10k's worth) and is 72000
A decent house round here is 80k, flats start from 50k so im really in 2 minds

I suppose you could start with a 1/2 bed flat as a base, because your only young but make sure it's mortgaged and not rented and get it fixed rate for a couple of years.
Sell up in 2/3 years and buy a house with the profits that way you will most likely be in a better situation and affordability will be better

you don't make much on flats i'm afraid
not unless you buy a new one off the plans then sell it.

yes...i like being on my own...but being on your own in a studio is shitty, honestly... I ended up feelin really crappy and walked out of my job, then lived in my car (R5 very cramped) for a week...not good times
