you change your mind alot on what conversion to do! lol

7.5 - 8.0 seconds but you've gotta remember its no really about 0-60, its the fact the engine will feel so torquey

16v engines are more fun to drive, 8v engines are nice and torquey but you always wish it was more powerful top end.

Plus, the xe will have loads of torque anyway! big engine in a small car...

the 20XE is a rev happy engine... its the right amount of power for a corsa and is very rewarding when driven to its full potential.

the 8v engine is a slug in comparison!

If you want torque buy a deisel

It's only gonna cost another couple of hundred quid to put the xe in, much easier to sell aswell.

theyre a very cheap engine to fix anything on, plenty of bits kicking about for pennies. probably get a 4 branch for 20 quid off ebay, can fit carbs for cheap, much easier to get to stuff once the engine is in, if you blow the engine up, could probably get another for about 50 quid out of a scrap yard.

although power is a factor, i reckon more people go for the xe as it looks, visually, a better engine when its fitted.

if you can get nearly 300bhp out the xe, surely can get 200 odd out the seh.

ive always liked them engines, me mates astra gte 8v was a weapon back in the day
