Just got an insurance quote on my new SRi 1.8

im 20, 0NCB, 2 Accidents in my mums car which i had to declare

£420 for the year!? this cant be rite can it?

ive already told them to start it from wednesday! i was getting quotes of £1800 + on confused.com!

take it but check over the cover note + details you get carefully as you get some dumbasses working for insurance companies.

yea fully comp, cars value declared at £7,500. told them about the leather interior and all the other goodies its got. Excess is at £250

i just did it and it came up woth MONTHLY payment of £200, ANNUAL £2212

20 0ncb, no claims or convitions...u sure it wasnt £450 mnthly payment

my civic is one grp 7, I have nearly 4 yrs no claims, no accidents, low risk area, 3pts which are off licence (3.5yrs ago), car is only worth bout 3k now and pay nearly twice that!

if u did it online, the BIG figure was monthly and the annual figure was a smaller print i thought at 1st £200 annual bargain! till i read the line underneathj

Nope it was all done over the phone. I was paying £400 a year on my 1.2

I rang them and said the 1.2 has gone and i wanna cancel the policy. they said dont coz it aint worth it. i told them what the new car is and they said thats £15 extra to insure from no until the end of the year. then £20 extra for the renewal. they confirmed thats £420 for next years payment and £15 extra for the rest of this year
