I sold a load of things on ebay one of them being a nokia phone as follows

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6450587888&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D6450587888%26fvi%3D1

Guy has now messaged me the following

Hi, I have recieved this item and sadly not happy with the condition. It is not in good condition and as this is a gift for my son I feel it is inappropiate as a gift in it's condition.

Awaiting your responce

To which i replied please tell me what exactely is wrong with it and he has now replied

In your ad it stated item was in very good working order and condition but that is not the case, the facia is in very poor condition... well battered and inside the phone is dirty along with a very scratched battery.

Not at all happy

this is my reply

Please see my feedback i sold alot of items and everyone is more than happy with thiers. noone has complained. as far as i am concerned the phone was in perfect order as advertised and shown in the photo. also i stated that you could request more photos and ask questions none of which you did. please provide me with photos of the areas of poor quality in question and tell me what you would like me to do about it

who is in the wrong as i genuinely truly 100% believe there is nothing wrong with the phone

If you want to solve it quickly i guess that you could tell him to send it back and you will refund his money minus the ebay fees or asking him to send you pictures if what he classes as damage.

Danny: on the cover where it says nokia is that not the ear piece

hmmm check his feedback to hes got a lot of pos also , hmmm if it was me and he still insited id ethier offer to buy a new facia like some one else already said, or tell im to send it back with proof of postage and he pays the charges and you just give him a refund plus he pays the paypal fee's and listing fee's.

you did say it was in good condition but thats a subjective view point you obviously thought it was, he obviously doesnt. tbh though i think hes expecting to much from a second hand purchase.

buying from ebay has these risks. He saw the photos and didnt request any more, nor did he ask you questions about it. Its not your job to buy a new fascia to make up for it FFS.

A second hand phone might not the most appropriate choice as a gift anyway.

It wasn't advertised as new, and he has a photo on which to judge its condition.

If you're feeling kind, offer him a refund minus your costs, but you're under no obligation to do so.

Update

his reply

I am not disputing other products you have sold just this phone. Your ad stated
The phone is in very good working order and condition and comes with a silver facia.
That's the reason it was purchased and not because the facia was badly scratched and not because the inside of the phone is dirty or for the fact that the even the battery is well scratched. I can only assume that this phone has had a great deal of use and has not been looked after. Hence at the price paid it is not suitable. I am sure you are well aware of it's condition and I would like a refund please so I can purchase a phone in good condition. Thank you

my reply

i am happy to refund if u can send me photos of the problem as i requested especially as i have no reason to beleive there is a problem with the phone in the first place!!!
send me some pics and we will go from there

Its used ie. not new. Price paid was his decision. Tell him to buy a facia and clean the inside and not to phone you in case you're out on the quad or under a car.
