I am still unsure what to get for my next car. As I have been asking people what I should get, and when I say an astra Gsi MK4, they say not really, they said with that money you might as well get a CTR, Toyota celica 190, or something a bit more up market than an Astra. I can see what they r saying, and it gets me thinking will I b making a good choice with an astra Gsi.
Please put your views on what you should think I should do. I know most people will say the astra as it’s a Vauxhall, and im posting on a Vauxhall site. But if anyone can suggest any other cars around the 10k price please write it done.

astra - you get a lot of goodies for the money, half leather, cruise control, climate control, traction control. A lot have sat nav as standard and some even have full leather.
You can get a newer / less miles astra for the same money as an older CTR, IMO CTRs are too common these days

yes agreed seat leon cupra r is a good choice, but you'd be best to get the post 2003 225bhp version which is a bit more ££

I you dont mind huge fuel / repair bills, and needing new tyres every 3 months - then one of these or something equally twin-turbo-ed and jap
less than 9k: Cant really beat the that amount of power for that money
if you do have problems with the above statement, any of the 'sensible' but nice cars mentioned above

everyone says - just an astra. but why? Its the top of the range astra, and are astras all that bad? they are reliable, cheap to maintain, cheap to buy. whats wrong with that?
