Right, am I right in thinking the less back-pressure the better on my LET?
I'm going to do the exhaust with a round tailpipe through the middle of the back bumper. I think this weekend my man is gonna cobble an effort together just to see what it looks like as he has found some 3" pipe at work.
Just for now he's gonna cut 2 holes in the spare wheel well so it can go through it, and hes gonna try it with no backbox LOL
Long term were gonna chop the spare wheel well off and weld it up.
It does mean though I'll only have one puny centre box to keep it quiet. The Van runs just a 3" pipe from front to back, and that sounds ok, so I'm hoping mine will to! Who knows I might keep it like that

Find a friendly MOT place that will either put another car through as your car or will 'lose' their copy of the emissions paperwork

wouldn't bother mate, ur car is mint and subtle. A centre exit is just gonna look out of place, if you want to go straight through just have a single 3inch tailpipe exitiing in the standard position or maybe the side in front of the passenger wheel??

i have a loud exhaust i think the level it is as loud as youd ever want an exhaust and it gets on my nerves if i drive it too much!
Plus IIRc there are many schools of thought about back pressure and turbo's, i was under the impression that more was better?

Nah, if more backpressure was better, you would see people with the smallest exhausts possible. The sooner the gas is sucked out the sooner more can get in!
I've got the tailpipe already, a scorpian 3.5" outwardly rolled effort. I think it will be quieter than the van, which I could live with!
The plan was always to get a back box, were just doing this to see what it sounds like. If its good I'll keep it, if not I'll revert to plan A!
Regarding MOT's, mine passed a proper MOT this year. Can't see the backbox doing much to help emmisions? I could be wrong though!
I think the exhaust out of the bumper will look more suttle, there will be no hanging down things looking unsymetrical on the back end! So its smoother
