Some of you may know me and my mate have taken on the job of finishing off Fastcars Nova Pickup, and all i can say is the workmanship is really bad.
well the list is endless when we dug deep into the car, BUT heres just so people can see what its like.
Making panels out of fiberglass

the full back end fell off, the panel of fiberglass is 15mm thick

Sorry Rich (you did do a good job on my car)

This post seems very strange coming from you Beardy, seeing as you always mention about the work on your car (as stated). Well done for letting everyone know what the work is like!

i wouldent like to see the work on that under that paint.......
think which gets me, even if they where not very good at sheet metal work then ammount of money spent on fiberglass to try and shape the back end they could of had somone come in and build it out of metal.

i will always give credit where it is gew...

OO dear

I had a little chat with Rich yesterday in R-Tec,
He declared himself bankrupt in the end.
Seem like when they got kicked out of there workshop they didnt put enough by to save for another place, and so they had to shut down.

because its cheap

have you ever tried to make a mudguard from a sheet of metal, it takes days, and hours of skilled workmanship. And you need to know all the tricks to be able to do it,

anyone can pick up a bucket of fibreglass and slap it all over a car

Yeah, loads of places can do it. But people who modify most cars dont want to pay the extra cost to have it done the hard way, and just pay the cheap and easy way!

generally you wont see hot rods on the roads, go to some drag meets at various strips, ive been to a few at shakespear county raceway a few times, its quite good being surrounded by proper petrol heads and not chav's like at other shows/events Lol

The strange thing about that is the whole front end on that was fabricated... Looked really good un painted, not sure if they then slapped a load of filler on top for good measure though because it took them over a year to build it.
