that roller is well off
180bhp on a standard XE

a XE with twin Carbs will make 180bhp on a RR but if they took it there would prob make 220bhp

take them numbers with a pinch of salt mate

standard 1.4 16v making the same power as a standard 1.6 16v says it all really

you sure the 88.5bhp is not the power at the fly and your thinking its at the wheels....?

mines got induction kit, and a full system, you might not think i have 108 bhp but i no it has, as i drive it every day and can just beat 1.6 sports on the roads

also i think thats poo, robmarriot had 116bhp from his 1.4 sport and could only just stay with a 1.6. i also had 110bhp from my 1.4 at one point and it was hard to beat a 1.6! let alone keep up with one

yeah, it might seem abit high when you see other 1.4 sports hitting that with inlet manifolds etc, but mine had allways been fast since ive had it

i think both are reading high, not slating the cars at all, just think you should take the results with a pinch of salt.... any chance we could see the graphs?

so you have made 20bhp from a filter and exharst

by looks of things (what i recon)
you have got a print out for power to the fly and they you thinking its power to the wheels so you have added 20% on (as 20% is average transmision loss)

example

they said and give you a print out for 90bhp (standard 1.4 16v power)
your thinking it power at the wheels so you add 20% = 18

90+18 = 108bhp

150 + 30% (30) = 180bhp

them rollers are eather 20% over or you have worked it out yourself..

Post up your print outs

PS if its an open cone induction kit you'l probably be losing power due to heat soak

sounds to me going by both sets of the results the rollers are overreaing by 10bhp, a lot of rr places over compensate with the guestimate % for transmission loss just to give the customer a good feeling

non but there are some that use more realistic transmission losses than others
