take one door card

remove wood(metal washers)

1st idea and attempt to cover it in carbon film, now i know some ppl won't like this but if done properly would look good..1st attempt got a couple of wee bubbles i can't get out..Will redo it and once perfect think it will be smart...

No, don't do that.

I found it best to heat the stuff up, stick it down firmly along one edge, then heat and press down a thumbs width at a time over the surface - that pushes all the air out as you stick the film down. Also means as the film cools, it shrinks and clings tightly to the surface.

Looks very good though mate, like you said, if it's done properly, it looks fine!!

You should try the vent surrounds on a corsa mate

Don't pierce them as it'll tear over time, and you'll be able to see where you've nicked them. Shame you're not closer, I'd have given you a hand.

Running sweet as a nut. I'm still waiting to fit new facelift headlights and i'm thinking about splitting the new headlights to 'smoke' the insides of them before i eventually fit them.. I've got some new inlet manifolds which i'm wanting to get colour coded black and fit some red hoses to tidy up under the bonnet but it's also 'due' () a service and needs cambelt done within the next 10k so i'm sort of waiting to get all the engine stuff done together.
