Insured a GSI for a year at a cost of £825 (paid in one lump sum). I sold the car and asked about changing the policy to a CTR. They couldnt do it. Qouted me £1800 on a new policy.

I have sold the corsa so had to cancel with 8 months remaining. I will only get £200 back £280 if I insure the civic than £1800 and send proof within 2 weeks.

Completly gutted and feel slightly taken advantage of. Most of the qoutes I had were around the grand mark so clearly Adrian Flux are looking to cash in on this.

If I paid £1800 and start a new policy I will get £500 back. Because I'm canceling and going to a different company I only get £200-£280.

WHY DO YOU NOT GET 8 MONTHS MONEY BACK!?!? LEGALLY THEY HAVE TOO OR YOU HAVE PAID FOR SOMETHING THEY HAVNT GIVEN YOU.

CAN UNDERSTAND THE INCREASE TO THE NEW CAR, BUT THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO USING THE SAME YEARS POLICY. mY MOTHER HAS JUST GONE AND BROUGHT A NEW SHAPE ASTRA AND TRADING IN HER CONVERTIBLE AND SHE JUST CALLED THEM UP AND GOT THE INFO CHANGED!?!?!

so they couldn't change your policy, but will still accept a new one for the same car??? weird

flux do sound shite, maybe they get people cheaper quotes but is it worth the hassle when you need them to do something.

i pay insurance monthly, then if you stop/cancel insurance for any reason you can stop the direct debit rather than go looking for refund

If its the first year with them they generally take an admin charge, when i did it i lost 1 month of the policy. Should be written somewhere in your policy

I expected them to take an admin charge, but never expected it to be so costly.

I will in future pay monthly.

my system at work depends on me being in caps
Cant you read if its in caps? you are right mate didnt realise switching from one to the other systems

They should have no problem changing the info over but it would go up in price.
If they cant then they have to pay you back for the 8 months of money you havnt had with them

I have done i bought my clio last march and my policy is up in july. They just changed the details over and charged me about £90. The corsa was group 11 and the clio is brand new and group 16. So the price was not to bad, which included admin fees.

Apparently they did the corsa though a company that wont cover a Honda!!

I was frustrated as I hoped I could give them a couple of hundred extra and all would be good. Even changing policy would of been okay had they not tried to screw me over. £1800 for a non modified ctr at 26 with one years no claims seems very steep when I get it covered elsewhere for £975

Yeah that is exactly as the process should be. But then again bud if you were only playing £825 divide by 12 is £69 rounded x 8 = £552. you should get more than half back no way is admin £352. call them and shout at them lol

If Adrian Flux are so bad why does this site promote them?

Had I not seen the advert I would be with elephant paying an extra £50 a year, but I bet canceling wouldnt of been so painful.

This site shouldnt be promoting such rip off companies.

Going to give trading standards a go, but think I've lost out on this one.
