my wallet is now £450 lighter....
0.5mm oversize pistons with valve clearance pockets deepened 2mm
block bored to suit, honed and decked
aluminium air horns, throttle bodies assembled and butterfly clearances set
weber throttle linkage bought, fitted and set
one month to go...

also, have had new valves, valve guides and triple angle valve seats cut, head skimmed flat, no pics as havent brought that home yet

why set the throttles? you will only spend hours balancing them again once they are on the car, thats the fun bit

its only set roughly so when i fit them the engine will at least try to idle right while i get it back upto the guy, not finally set

oh i believe you, that noise is very familiar. i've also had the stuck at full throttle noise like broster

not sure on the full spec but the usuals plus very high rev limit and hoooge cams.

that most certainly would be mike barratt himself. currently has a full zcars rear (bike) engined mini being put together. man thats awesome engineering!!!
