thats what i ment lol. have had a couple in at work. the spares on the TF are the same alloys but in matt black. they run 4pot calipers with 300mm discs so might look for some if they'll fit a vaux

All these cars were from MG Sport and Racing. A seperate division to MGR Rob.

The cars they put together were for competition and R&D and many weren't road legal or road registered.

God knows why he bought that and put a bloody vw engine in it.

Should have bought the insane red land speed record ZT-T and used it as a tow car for his Escort.

Probably coz its a cracking engine! The 1.8t is infanitly tuanble (iv seen them making 500BHP +) its reliable and they are fairly cheap and easy to come across!

Im jus trying figure out why you would fit that cracking engine into a rover??!!

veedub-g60, the rover T16 lump is good for 500+nhp too, why not just use that?

I worked on vws for 2 years and they are not reliable.

The PD unit makes for a more thrilling drive than the 1.8T, and every modified 1.8T that came through the doors of the dealer I worked at was in trouble.

The VVC unit used in Rover, MG, Caterham and Lotus cars is a far nicer unit to drive in standard form and more reliable in my experience.
