... or easily offended, depressed or emotional.

Video compilation of recent FATAL motor racing accidents.

Posting the link so people can appreciate the technology that goes into F1 etc cars nowadays. And also to prove how racing drivers of old had balls of steel.

Hats of to everybody in this vedeo RIP.

i'm amazed at some of them being fatal, but then others dont surprise me.

the worst one for me was the rs200 + crowd

90% of those accidents were over 10 years old though, it doesnt happen as much anymore, the HANS thingy helps loads

but still

Not even half of them were fatal, but to stay on topic some of them were shocking.

Matrin Brundell's was a bad one and so was Niki Lauders, who you will know has burns scars on his face. The one were the car just rolls from the grass and then just onto the track again, then the car is cut in two by an on-coming car is Emerson Fittipaldi, both his legs came off but he races touring cars now with prosthetic replacements.

Ayrton Senna , sad day that at Imola, I remember watching Roland Ratzenberger in practice the day before, Roland died and they were going to abandon the whole racing weekend, if they had of, Senna would probably still be alive, I was 10 or 11 I cried my eyes out IRC as he was my fave racing driver.

Was the Senna one on there? I dont know much about how he died. Most shocking one was the guy lying at the front of the car, also didnt like the one near the end when the guy crashed and the car was spinning and his head was just flopping around like a rag doll. Not pretty.

Senna one is the first one on there Joe, and the ragdoll one is Ratzenberger. Both on the same weekend

Senna's car was eerily similar to the Ratzenberger one if you look at pictures, the damage wass almost identical, other than it being on the opposite side

Giles Villeneuve one is pretty nasty too, he was thrown from the car

Theres another video similar to that, but AFAIK it only shows the ones that actually passed away, rather than just bumps. Theres the one with Tom Pryce, who hit a marshall who was crossing the track. The marshall died, but the fire extinguisher he was carrying hit Tom Pryce who died instantly at the wheel.

Just watched that second one, and I'd advise anyone who was shocked by the first, NOT to watch it, its far more graphic than the first one

All the Brazilian football team dedicated winning the World Cup 94 to him, which I thought was a nice touch.

I Forgot to add that when Roland died, Senna wanted the race to go ahead in memory of him saying "Rolly would have wanted us to go on".

Senna managed to slow down to 130odd mind before he hit the wall, but it was the bit of suspension that went through his helmet that killed him wasn't it?

does anyone know? there were loads of theories werent there?

blacked out before he crashed
steering wheel came off before crash
the bumps had been complained about before, they were said to have caused it
he more then likely went the same way as Ratzenberger, broken neck on impact
