My friends mate has made a website listing thirty things we wants to do before he's 30.

One of them was to apply for a managers job. With Boro looking, he applied to Middlesborough and got a reply!

Since then, he's had over 1000 emails, its been on several forums, the makers of Football Manager have contacted him, local press and radio.

Today, he was interviews by The Sun (he'll be in tomorrows edition) and was offered a book deal by McMillan Publishers.

It is totally being sarcastic - but the press have gotten hold of a surprisingly funny reply from the club chairman, so in good humour, they're running it. Boro and Football Manager must be loving the forthcoming PR.

We're telling the guy to lap it up and go for anything that comes from it while it lasts - as nothing like this was expected!
