My brother has the rarest of the rare Astra MK3 GSi's S reg metallic black GSi, never seen another Mk3 S reg before.

because its a purple facelift one.

edit: its a pre facelift colour.

Because as far as anyone knows that I've spoken to the last limited run of late model MK3 GSi's were all ended on R reg and no one has ever seen another S plate GSi mk3, unless you are talking about Ollie in which case I don't know!

i had a 97 smoke grey corsa which came with the post 97 bumpers, never thought of it as a rare car though

I once saw a white 5 door S-reg mk3 Astra with black steel rims. I think it might have been an ex police car?

It had no badges on it etc. and the steel rims I only ever saw on cop Astras.

Rare in that colour, as mentioned stripes are wrong but they could be done later.

Me too , Let'd it then sold it like a right dick , once my current 1 has the let fitted i was thinking about spraying it the same colour as it is very nice

Can see how much lighter that paint is compared to mine now...

I think it was probably built earlier, but not registered/sold till 1998...

They stopped making the purple ones in late 1996.
