I have now been allowed to advance from watching to trying

I had a spare wing lying about so today I had a little go at painting it with a spray gun. I had to squeeze into a space suit which was far too small for me though



The panel was flame red before... Painted it black as we were doing a repair on a black car today

Waterbased colour:




2K clear on top:



I now need to find myself a few more spare panels like that to have little practices on....

looking good!

did you get any runs in it or any dry patched for your first bit of paint?

and also get tom to start you with some solvent basecoat as its so much easier and dries a hell of alot quicker rather than standing there for fucking ages air drying the panel!

The color was a bit patchy and there was a run in the clear. I didn't overlap the clear enough so there were stripes down it. Fixed it though
