i may be getting a set of speedlines but some1 told me that i will have to put spacers on them to clear 2.0 calipers is this true? if so what size spacers will be needed

no its not true.

You can fit 308mm V6 brakes under then.

yes it is true. you will need 5mm spacers (can get away with 3mm sometimes, depending on how much pad material is left)

its not the size of the disc thats a limiting factor its the shape of the caliper. we tried to get a speedline over a 308 v6 setup and needed 10mm spacers, and 12mm spacers to clear 300mm 4 pots.

I have fitted speedlines to 3 cars with 2litre brakes. all have needed spacers. depends on the brake pads in a lot of cases as if the pads are low you will have more clearance.

how much can u grind down the calipers by roughyl as i really dont want spacer if at all poss

just use a 3mm spacer. of fit half worn pads.

some will fit some wont, all depends on the pad thickness.

why dont you buy 3mm spacers if you need them then your going to have to use them and if you can get away without it then just take the spacers back to where you bought them from.

most places do them i think u just need 4 stud fitment as theyr universal?

When i fitted mine i had brand new vauxhall discs and pads, i didnt grind the calipers, i didnt use wheel spacers, and i never had a problem!

Try them and see!

Wilwoods do need spacers but as stated some need spacers some dont
