Probably reverse light switch like I said, unplug it and short the plug with a bit of wire or something. Switch the ignition on and if the lights come on its the switch.

Not too sure on your gearbox, but usually on the front of the gearbox as you look down from under the bonnet.

I have same problem. Noticed a while ago and problem was the connector to reverse light switch weren't connecting sometimes. Bent the connections slightly then worked fine for a week. Now they've stopped working altogether.

I had the same problem. My mechanic changed the switch on the gearbox and they work fine now. It took longer to get the car on the ramp than to change the switch so he only charged me for the part.

On my dads first car it didn't come with reverse lighta. He fitted one to the back and had a switch on the dash - only trouble was he had to remember to switch it on/off when reversing/not reversing.

Ring Vauxhall and ask for a reverse light switch for a Corsa GSI. You probably won't even need it on a ramp.

to test the switch, remove the plug in the gearbox (ignition on) and bridge the plug with a paper clip and the reverse lights will go on
if not you have a wiring/fuse problem
