My mate bought one of eBay for £1750 the other day, picks it up on Sunday. Import model, not sure if its still 205bhp like the uk version or not? 1993 I think. Decent price??

not a bad price for the year...

I think the later widebody cars have a better ECU and map for 17psi instead of 13psi of boost... so tuning potential is there

Ideally, he wants a CT20b turbo from an ST205 car, ST205 ECU, front mounted cooler, and that should see him more like 280bhp and big torque to match.

I can sell him the turbo and the ECU too if he wants...

If its standard and he is used to fast cars then I think he may be dissapointed with performance untill tuned

Well he had a Leon Cupra which he sold as it was costing him too much. He replaced that with a Primera GT which he sold last month and replaced with a Rover 414!!! So this should feel quite nippy! I don't think he has any plans for it, you never know though!

Thats what I was thinking! Was mainly finance on the Leon. But yeah, I can see it costing him a lot. Hes a mechanic at Toyota though so thats in his favour!!!

will work in his favour BIG time I would imagine... getting some parts can be a nightmare for JDM Celicas as Toyota refuse to beleive they are the same as the UK cars!

Ive got a nice rear strut brace which would fit his car too should he so wish

Nar, its the WRC edition which has the big rear wing, and looks 10x better than the ST185 flippy headlight one IMO
