Well Ive just had my car decatted along with a "dethrottled" chip (with lengthened throttle pot sampling time) and a remap to suit! Oh and it needed a new engine mount too

Power is now estimated to be well over 400bhp.

Holy shit! Its the loudest thing Ive ever heard. It spits flames like a bunsen burner and the pops and bangs make your ears ring! Sounds like the end of the world!

The car is unreliable as f*ck, has zero grip in any gear, it leaks and uses as much oil as petrol.............but I love it!!!! My old P1 was awesome but the drive was very clinical and predictable, if you ever have a chance to own a TVR - Do it!

I know a bit off topic, but how do people still manage to get MOT's if the emisions are wrong due to decat, i heared the process for MOT has changed recently making a dodgy MOT a lot more difficult?

They are just a hand built car matey, got to be expected really. Everything from electrics through to the engine

I can sort the MOT without many worries - If worst did come to the worst I would just throw my cats back in for a day!

As far as road side tests go - Yeah it would fail but my decats are just hollowed out originals so they look standard. Tuscans are well known for lunching cats and usually fail emission tests anyway so it would be just a case of throwing the originals back on for the retest!
