Who would you class as the best players, in their positions, in the world at the moment...

GK- Cech or Reina

Cech when he is fit is amazing, such a good keeper and doesnt have many weaknesses (other than his head). I know people probably wont agree but Reina is still young (24 but looks 40) and kept the most clean sheets in his first season in England - 20 in the league last year, 30 in all competitions. Also got the most clean sheets this season. He can look a little hesitant at times but I think with a few more years experience he will be amazing.

Full Back- Cole

He has been fairly poor this season but at the top of his game he is def the best around.

Centre Back- Terry

Winger- Ronaldo

Centre Mid- Gerrard

Forward- Drogba or Henry

I hate drogba and certain aspects of his game but he can be amazing at times. Henry is just Henry!!

winger - c. ronaldo - only thing stopping me from saying lennon, is he's too young.

midfield - pirlo

forward - rooney / ronaldinho

Playmaker - Ronaldinho, victim of his own high standards but the thing's he can do with a ball still amaze me.

Holding Midfielder - Claude Makelele even at his age still a master of his art so much so that when people sign this type of player its to play in the 'Makelele role'

yes.

Granted Ronaldo is having the season of his life but Giggs has been outstanding year upon year.

I just prefer Giggs. Ronaldo is a cocky cnut.

Depends whether you're talking about current ability or form over x years really.

Carson would be in goal for me, he is unbelievable especially given the shite he has to play behind.

Ronaldinho overrated imo. He'd do fcuk all if he came to the premiership.

can I just clarify that I still think Ronaldinho is one of the best players in the world before people start flaming me Agree with Hammer how he's set himself a stupidly high level of standard though.

I very nearly added a load of liverpool players aswell. I added Reina even though I knew most wouldnt agree, but really think he is one of the best in the world!
