my mate in his integra type r had a play with one, tbh the astra driver was a complete nut case!!!! But there was hardly anything in it, i don't know what the astra had done to it but the integra is probably around the 230bhp mark. so i would of thought the astra was quicker than a CTR. Plus it will 'feel' quicker as it's got that turbo 'kick'. i'd have the gsi over a ctr anyday.

Same as CTR off the lights, mid range the GSi wins everytime.

I have one mate - in Arden Blue.
Keeps up with a Teg Type-R DC2, in a straight line, obviously it has longer between gear changes but flat out, pretty much level.
Round a track, obviously a CTR or ITR would have a GSi, but to keep a V-tec going quickly you need to keep it in its powerband, not easy round corners or a track, GSi gives power in every gear and you dont need to thrash it as much, although lowering them on good suspension and a whiteline rear ARB make a world of difference!
In saying that, my mate has a supercharged CTR which is proper fucking fast.
GSis are a lot rarer than CTRs and you always get comments on the colour etc.

Used to, sold it got a VXR.
0-60 7.0 seconds on the GSi insurance group 15.

raced a mates supercharged CTR in my GSi, was meant to be about 260bhp, he had me but not by alot, the handling on it was alot worse than i thought, following him round bends i could catch up, the back end seemed very light and skitty!
standard v standard i would expect them to be very equal with the driver proving the winning point!

I raced A CTR in my GSi and beat it off 4 sets of lights, and mid range pulled from him....As Gez said it would beat the GSi around the track tho

tints on gez's are legal im sure, an yeh davie at diamond did them.
The seats in them are really nice as are the blue seatbelts. Centre console is a bit bland though. They should have came painted silver or gloss black.

Yeah Timbaland mate, davie is a good mate of mine, does all my tints! Had an sxi, the interior looked gash but was comfy enough.
Goin back to Davies to get the rear re-tinted and a sunstrip on the front, just havent had the time to leave it with him!
Yeah Steve, lowering mine was one of the first things that I did, looks and handles a lot better, even on just a set of Eibachs.

just looked on autotrader and these are getting fairly cheap. could be a car to keep an eye out soon as they look like an awesome car. They remap to 260ish don't they???
Bet they go well with a few mods.

Yeah prices are deffo dropping, not so good for me :-(
Can go way over 260bhp, there is an IHI turbo kit that has ran 360bhp on Regals rollers!
Stage 1 - iridium plugs, airbox mods, exhaust and remap should give you 240+bhp and about 270lb/ft of torque.
