handle very well on a decent suspension kit, lacking the power though,
my 1.6 sport was a better car in general than my brothers zetec

My mate has one, very nice to drive, with 2 normal drivers a zetec s will hold it's own round the twisties with a 106 GTI, the 106 is a fair bit quicker in a straight line, the zetec s is very cheap to insure though for what it is. As you say hust lower them and they look good. personally would get a nice 106 as it is better, but you have to pay good money for a nice one, and it could still be a money pit! Zetec S is probably a safer buy imo. Don't think my mate has had any problems at all.

My missus has a 1.4 Zetec engine Fiesta, and that is pretty nippy for what it is - she did originally want a ZetecS.
Just to preworn you, it was cheaper for the missus (with me as a named driver) to insure a Focus 2.0 than a Fiesta Zetec S (1.6) Something to think about - more tax though I'd imagine.

I've got a Zetec S. Haven't really had any problems with it in 2years apart from the coil pack gave up(30min job to change). Handle quite well for fiesta as there on the puma chassis!! Here's a pic of mine!

my mate has a 1.6 fiesta zetec s and tbh they do feel fairly nippy but then ive never driven anything quicker than my 1.2 8v lol they do handle realy well on the bends i must say but then a corsa on a decent suspension set up should be as good! ive heard the 1.4 sports are about the same in a straight line so up to you if you fancy a change!

what you on about 10mph top end, a 106gti will wipe the floor with one acceleration wise too.
i had a zetecs courtesy car wen 106 was at bodyshop, i personally thought it handled cack, permanent tcs and no progressive cornering control you get with the 106, thats just my personal opinion though.

permanent tcs is pooh, but my mate broke his abs sensor which is the tcs sensor to which made it more fun! LOL! They do handle well.
