I hate sundays.

At about 5am on the M25 this morning I found that my gears were abit bodged and stuff, limped her home about 40 miles and looked at it this morning:







Yes, the engine seems to have tried to make an escape but failed!

Can still drive her but it makes all sorts of fun noises, tomorrow I'm taking her to the train station and after a half day in the city I'm going to ring the AA and tell them I've broken down ... and get towed to my M&D to get it sorted.

In the meanwhile I might get the boat out to take me to and from the station:





And thats why I hate sundays, and pretty much the whole of March lately

To be fair to the gearbox mount, I give the car absolute death and the suspension forgives no one.

Was a great moment on the M25, I dont even know when it broke, I just know at one point I needed to go from 5th to 4th and I was like WHOA NELLY that clutch pedal is high! the gearstick was as loose as a fat bird too which raised my suspicions

amateur bodge?

if its the rubber, just whack some bathroom sealent around it and for extra strength add some masking tape. should be fine.

Oh dear Will what in god earth were you doing on the M25 at that time

I broke my gearbox mount once Lee kindly welded it to the body which sorted things out
