works fine! and looks great" the dg834g!
Connected it to my pc and my laptop picked it up instantly!
it says excellent signal etc after i entered the wep code
although it wont let me access the net from my laptop!
was going to buy some netgear usb sticks for the other pc's in the house but Im not sure I should take the risk until i can get my laptop working!
idea's?

connected via ethernet and it works fine, just not wireless
when i click on other networks and the wireless it says packets sent 292 recieved 3

yeah, it says that it has an excellent signal! ive turned firewall etc off incase thats preventing me from connecting to the internet

anywhere, We have 3 pc's in the house and one laptop! laptop and pc in my room which would be ok via ethernet (how im using it now)
but i want to get the rest of the house connected..

if someone wants to use the pc downstairs for internet then It has to be disconnected upstairs etc! annoying!!

yes but what are you concerend with using the usb sticks, that it wont work with the access point, or with the laptop?

My laptop has wireless built in, yet it wont let me connect to the internet via wireless! so im concerned that if I spend money on the sticks that they wont connect! everyone puts it down to the isp

does it let you connect to the access point? ie can you get into the routers admin page by browsing on your laptop

ok, the thing is, it says its giving out a 11mbps signal and that its excellent

actually it sounds like its connecting to your laptop ok, but you havent configured the router to connect to your isp?

see if you can find out the ip address of the router is, probably 192.168.1.1
then on your laptop unplug it so its connected to the wireless, then goto start > run > type cmd and press enter
then type ping 192.168.1.1 and see if you get any replies

192.168.0.1 but only works if im online, asks for a username and password
