as title what do you guys think of cover songs?

usually i think they're shocking, but i just heard the klaxons 'not over yet', which was an old dance song by grace. and i quite liked it.

Depends on the song I think. Sometimes a cover in keeping with the original theme of the song can go either way. Covers that change a song can sometimes make it the song it was always meant to be. Sometimes they are total abortions though!

when they take good, old songs and turn them into dance i hate e.g broken wings, posion, wonderwall, sweet child o mine etc etc!

There is some great ones but that cover of a real classic "The Stranglers-Golden Brown" was murdered by Jamelia
