Ha he's on sisoc.co.uk his throttle cable got stuck on his 3litre and he went in to the barrier on the motoway

i dont see how people dont understand..

if the throttle is stuck take it out of gear and let the engine pop,

must be cheaper to fix than... that ^^^


i remember a film based in america.

they were driving round for a couple of hours with the throttle pedal stuck..

why didnt they just take it out of gear brake and let the engine pop!

why not just turn off the ignition and suffer no damage

would you be able to brake whilst going down the gears and eventially stall the engine in 1st?

the best way to deal with it i would have thought would be engine off then apply brakes and stop, much easier than crashing the car

Have you tried getting a car out of gear on full throttle?

Have you tried getting a car out of gear on full throttle?


not an issue if you clutch in

That's a good point I forgot the clutch pedal existed TBH.

Switching the ignition off would have been my first thought though

thats assuming its not a full push button only starter, but then anyone within there right mind would have a cut off switch..
