Parkers signed pending a medical according to SSN, dunno about it tbh is it a sideway step rather than a forward 1? Both good players though!

at the moment WHU seem to have more vision than Newcastle, that could change if they get bought though.
Still find it strange why they seem so willing to sell Parker

I think the whole Captain thing was a measure to try and tie him to the club and maybe help settle him, and let's be honest with amout of shit we've got at Newcastle he was the only logical choice with the exception of maybe Given.

You've got some good players at Newcastle, shame theres only half a dozen of them.
Milner, Butt, Solano would make good captains imo.

IMO Milner isn't mature enough to be captain. Butt has only started performing this past season and Solano only has a year left on his contract at the moment. Steven Taylor would be my choice for next captain even though he's still young

At this stage in there careers...I would take Barton over Parker...especially when there selling Parker for £7,000,000 and getting Barton for £5,500,000...

On SSN they have just said that west ham will offer barton a extra million a year on his contract than newcastle will.
