Been alot about 106's etc and other stuff on here lately thats car related, i was wandering if people enjoy debates etc cause alot seem to moan about it.
Personally i think this forum wouldnt be what it is without debates, people defending things etc.
you go on to saxosports or things like that, you get someone come on with chrome mirrors, 17s on a 1.1 desire and people are like yeah that looks nice when really everyone thinks it shocking... and i just find it boring and hardly ever visit there really other than to view new pics and progress of other peoples cars...
So what do you guys and girls reckon ?

I'm all for debate, less for pointless arguments (been guilty of it in the past fosho).
106 thing is parody now imo, every man woman and their dog will post some one liner about the 106gti to spice shit up

I dont mind debate. Its when its the same debate over and over again that it gets annoying.
e.g. 1.0/1.2/1.4/1.6/2.0 Corsa vs 106 GTi

no problems with it, only when people ask what car and state NOT a 106, vts etc and people post exactly what they dont want.

Whittie, do you not realise everytime its brought up, its normal by a corsa owner, saying there x14xe beat a vts, there x16xe can beat a vts etc, then i will defend my car as i know if both pipped with similar drivers which would win, im not just going to agree with something i know is not true.
Again, we used to get two or three post about fords, i think alot of people on here just jump at the chance of arguing the toss about french cars cause its the main car they want to beat.

TBH, i would much prefer a 106 gti to any corsa! I'm fed up with mine and cant be arsed with the GSI anymore. Gonna get the GSI on the road and sell up me thinks, 106GTI here we come

ill probably get slated for this now as there the same, but every 106 gti ive raced, i always pull on when we change into 3rd... but tahts not part of this post but..
Also ask yourself this, you have a 1.2 16v corsa ? if someone came on with a daewoo matiz, and said i beat a 1.2 sxi corsa today, there not that quick etc, would you just agree. ?

again this isnt about 106 gti's personal i think debates is what makes this forum what it is, if people jsut agreed with everything it would be boring as fuk

Definately the 106Gti thing goes on too much, and everyone saying about VTEC when VTECs are excellent engines, and not all of the drivers think they can beat anything on earth.
