Looking at new motor after recent "happenings"
One that caught my eye was the DCi 100 (100 bhp) Clio. Ive always liked the Clios (im looking at one around 2003), and I have sorta decided after going black (diesel ) ill never go back. With a book MPG figure of 67 and 100 bhp in a light car, it'll be quite nippy.
What do people think?
Going to go and drive a DCi (probs a 65 - yawn) tomorrow, just wanna see what people think

I've heard good stuff about these. The tax is supposed to be stupidly cheap as well as a result of the MPG.

My mum has a 2001 65bhp clio and I love driving it. Great car to drive, nippy, cheap tax and it may be french but its diesel and had no problems with it

Interior probably won't be a patch on the Ibiza though.
And every review I read mentioned an oddly high driving position?!

DCi 100's are very rare and quite nippy, gains from remaps are pretty good too

I could rele rip the Ibiza apart now - I need to move on. And I like a high driving position - I learnt to drive in a Scenic I had the Ibiza and Corsa seats jacked up high
Neo! That'd be - whats his, a 65 or 80?
Fad, they are as rare as rocking horse SHITE!

dci 100's have a very weak gearbox and are prone to failures.
you'd be better off getting the dci 80 as there are easier to find, have a more reliable gearbox and with a remap will have more power and torque then a standard dci 100 anyway.

100 model used the gearbox off the megane IIRC. Either way, it's different to the gearbox used in the 65 and 100.
Get the warrenty too

But then with a re,ap, yourputting a gearbox for an 80 through more strain than a gearbox on the 100 arent you?
I dont give them absolute death, and Ihavemnt been through a 106gearbox yet
