sheshhhhhhhhh people have some cheeck these days
got a joiner in to build some wardrobes in the eve space in the loft, he wanted £265 thought this was fair, come home hes cut two holes in the plasterboard and put some plaster board on the celing beams and thats it i could have done this my self and saved £265.
whats worse is i told him it was going to be used for clothes and needs to be clean ect, but because hes left all the walls open and not enclosed it inside its dusty as hell and full of soot (old victoria house so full of soot) fucking joke.
and it took him nearly 3 days, i could have done it in like half a day seriously, ive got him told though to build it properlly ect and he walked off muttering its going to cost more or something
.... is he fuck getting more money
any one else had dodgy builders.
pics
said he was gonna plaster this :/ its mucky as hell and holes all over

Some builders/workmen take the piss.
Get it written down exactly what you want, how you want it, etc. and make sure that inculdes his price (not an estimate!). Otherwise they'll always try to fuck you over somehow!

On it own, yes. But the fact I mentioned in the previous sentence about SOME builders/workmen means its not.

Not all builders are cowboys. Suppose you just got unlucky when choosing this cowboy.

there put some pics up, you can see what hes done, he was pretty much going to just leave as is other than put some doors on the cupboards.
bearing in mine i also asked for sliding doors :/ and the inside as you can see is filthy couldnt put clothes in there at all, not put out down on the floor the sides ect, he said he was going to plaster the wall to the left but its full of holes and theres a huge gap down the side of it :/.

God that is shite.
When I do these the last thing I'd do is leave the rafters exposed ! I might be looking at the photos wrong , but is the plasterboard fixed to whatever the lining on the roof is ?
Also has he just cut the plasterboard and put a facing round it , leaving you with a very flimsy opening ?
If you paid me £265 as a homer that would be cleanly sheeted, taped and filled and doors with proper frames.
Shoddy is not the term !

yeah just cut holes in plasterboard, left rafters exposed and there filthy, told us just to paint them :/.
And yes plasterboard fixed to lining in roof :/
he said he wanted like £320 now for the extra work we asked him to do (box the rest of it in) hes having a laugh lol.

So what is now going to happen if you get a leaky rook in that area and some lining needs replaced ?
Plasterboard falls down onto your stuff.
What a cock do not pay him.
