Where is best for a City Break in the UK and Ireland?

Ideally want it to have a good shopping area, along with a bit of sightseeing and restaurants.

Wanna do some Christmas shopping elsewhere other than Warrington

Any suggestions?

Was thinking of York although can't find a nice decent priced hotel.

Good Call

I went twice last year. Costs a fortune(250-300 a night) for a top notch hotel, but was well worth it imo, so much to see and do.

I just priced it up, it was nearly £300 bang on. But, my ex was a travel agent, so we got it a bit cheaper. Forgot about that.

Kat if you get the right ticket it will be about a 1/3 of that price. Amanda used to come from warrington to norwich for £60 and thats actually a bit further to come as well.

Have you thought about edinborough?

Kat, if you go in the week, London is fairly quiet. Also, some places will do travel included, so the train works out a lot cheaper.

If you're looking for a decent Hotel in York try the Novotel, nice rooms, great facilities and not too far from the city center
