Yeah there the 2 only ways in tbh (unless your a brain & go to uni). Either as ive done doing the apprenticeship & getting the qualifications............or start as a rousty, labourer, painter, cleaner...whatever doing the shit jobs & hope to get noticed & given a chance by a company. I personally know folk that have went off to scrub the decks, stuck in & been given the chance to progress to a technical role within the company. On even got sent to Uni & is pretty high up now.

nice and pricey lol, is there anything like a scheme where the company helps pay it and you pay them back or something along the lines of that.

Company will only pay for it if there interested in taking you on (i.e. if you have something good to offer or a uni graduate etc)
Im in a modern apprenticeship scheme where everythings paid for, id recommend it....though its not that easy to get in, Ive been told we (me & other trainees) were hand picked from thousands of applicants.

Yeah the petrofac one would do the job, not sure what quadrents its accepted in possibly just UK ones. So no entry to Dutch/Norweigan waters. Look into it thou it might be the same as the more expensive ones.
The one im doing is 5 day & is more intense.

I did an apprentiship in mechanics,
I'm now gonna do my RGIT and go offshore,
shouldn't take long,
if your looking for a fast track, just do a ropes access course or something of the like, get an RGIT and companies will employ you,
it is good money, considering you work 2weeks then home for 3weeks, its around £1000 a week for the 2working weeks,
which split into the 4 1/2 week period of a month is £444 a week,
so its decent enough money, and im sure you get money when on your 3week break also, but im unsure how much maybe someone else can clear that up...
