Ive done it before, no questions asked.. All you need is identification, I took my passport and that was fine.

my dad went to withdraw 4k to buy his car with, they said he would have to come back the next day to collect it. he told them to get fucked, as it was his money. after about half an hours arguing he left with the money

Will depend on size of branch also, had to call up local one to arrange day in advance for £3k whereas been into one in liverpool and took £5k out same day.

The Bank i work for(Britannia) will only allow withdrawls of up to £500 in cash or more if notified in advance(i.e the day before) and ID will only be needed if they dont have a copy of your signature on their system.

Depending on the bank, they really didnt 'have' to give him the money.

8k i drew out when i briought my clio, i only fuck with cash. I range the bank the day before to let them know id be comming in to withdraw the amount and just took in to passport.

Phoned up HSBC by the way and as long as it's under £5k you just need to turn up with some I.D.

i did!
i went in and took out £2,000
didnt even ask for ID
you just put your card in the chip and pin thing now rather than handing your car directly to them throught he window thing
